The Department of Management and Marketing at the University of North Alabama invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant or Associate Professor beginning in Fall 2021. Candidates must possess, or be within 6 months of completion (as per evidence of ABD status and dissertation defense schedule) a doctorate in Management from an accredited institution.

The review of candidates will focus on teaching effectiveness/potential and research productivity/potential. Industry and/ or teaching experience related to Operations Management is preferred. Responsibilities for the position include teaching in-class and online undergraduate and graduate management courses. Experience using Canvas, Blackboard, or any other comparable online learning platform is preferred.

The successful candidate will have a willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds in the classroom, and in experiential learning opportunities.  In addition to meeting teaching expectations, candidates are expected to demonstrate research necessary for the college to meet current standards for AACSB International accreditation. Service to the university, college, and/or department is also expected. Salaries are competitive with similar AACSB accredited institutions. Review of applications will begin immediately.

Established in 1830 as LaGrange College, the University of North Alabama has a rich history including the distinction of being the first state-supported teachers college in the South. The school's 130-acre campus is located in the historic district of Florence, Alabama, on the Tennessee River. Students come from around the country and world, but UNA is largely a regional university with about 70% of students coming from Alabama.
