Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) clinician-educator.  The primary responsibility is outpatient care for patients with all types of endocrine disorders, with a significant focus on metabolic bone  medicine.  However, the applicant should be comfortable with all endocrine disorders.  Other responsibilites would include teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.  There is an expectation of scholarly activity.  

Your duties in this faculty position will include clinical service, teaching and scholarly activity.

Clinical (80%): Some of these clinics will be at the Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion and some might be at satellite facilities.

  • Five to six half-day Endocrinology clinics a week
  • Two to four 2-week blocks on inpatient Endocrine consult service
  • DXA reading
Teaching (10%):

  • Teaching of medical students, residents and fellow in classroom and inpatient settings
Scholarly activity (10%)

  • Attendance at conferences within the Division and Department
  • Scholarly activity which can include QI projects, clinical trials and writing of articles. 
Salary and Benefits:

Asst Prof 143,000 – 169,000

Assoc Prof 161,000 – 190,000

Prof 202,000 – 246,000

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at:

Assistant Professor $143,000 – $169,000.

Associate Professor $161,000 – $190,000.

Professor $202,000 – $246,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Qualifications
Required Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Prior fellowship training in Endocrinology
Minimum Requirements: Experience, Education, Licensure

  • MD/DO board certified or eligible in Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes  
Preferred Qualifications: Qualities desired for the position

  • Board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Applicants should be enthusiastic about a career in academic medicine with a strong interest in providing excellent clinical care in the outpatient and inpatient setting.  There should be a desire for teaching and writing and an interest in opportunities in clinical research
  • Experience and interest in managing gender-affirming hormone therapy
  • Certified in reading DXAs
