Position Summary:

The Project Manager will initially manage efforts for two multi-site research projects, serve as a liaison for two other studies and manage a single site evaluation project with the expectation that the projects will grow in number and/or in scope. The position will require capacity to coordinate multiple concurrent tasks, including having two direct research assistants reporting to this position, institutional review board approvals, data use agreements, AE and SAE reporting, and grant timelines. The Project Manager will interface with a multidisciplinary team of clinical staff, biostatisticians, public health professionals, and other research and administrative staff. This position will collaborate with investigators across multiple departments, centers, and schools at UNC and elsewhere. The Research Program Manager will support the ongoing development of UNC Horizons’ research portfolio.

Educational Requirements:

PhD and licensed nurse or

Minimum of master’s degree in related field, such as nursing, public health, or social work. PhD in related field strongly preferred.

Qualifications and Experience:

Current nursing license in North Carolina required

Experience as a clinical research nurse required

Experience coordinating research study activities for multiple projects and with study teams, IRB and outside stakeholders required

Experience developing REDCap databases and programming in REDCap required
