Position Summary:

Under the general direction of Chief Administrative and Financial Officer at the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI), provides high-level analytical support for strategic initiatives associated with the growth and expansion of the academic and clinical missions at the SSIHI. This incumbent will work closely with the Chief Administrative and Finance Officer and Executive Director/Associate Vice Chancellor to ensure that all initiatives and projects across the research, education, clinical and community aspects of SSIHI are aligned with the strategic goals and priorities. The position will strategically analyze, grow, implement and oversee initiatives and programs, create consistency, streamline communication, assist with workflow, and align goals of the Institute with the vision and mission of SSIHI, the COHS and greater UCI community. The incumbent works directly with the SSIHI administration team and occasionally with the CoHS, on strategy development, alignment and process improvements. Serves as the manager of strategic information and analysis for SSIHI and is responsible for the general review, analysis, and outreach support for SSIHI executive management. Will oversee various operational projects from initiation to completion. The incumbent coordinates, reviews, processes, manages and finalizes projects requiring close interaction with the executive management of SSIHI, College of Health Sciences (Include all Schools within the College), Deans, Associate and Assistant Deans, the Medical Center, offices of the Chancellor, Executive Vice Chancellor-Provost, department Chairs and Chief Administrative Officers and outside organizations. The incumbent organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the Chief Administrative and Finance Officer and Executive Director/Associate Vice Chancellor to facilitate efficient decision- making. Facilitates collaborations across the organization by working well with all levels of management. Develops and leverages relationships within the workplace and builds and sustains excellent relationships at multiple levels in the organization and within the community. With comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function, the incumbent enhances SSIHI success by providing strategic and data analysis, best-practice recommendations, management, and project management and oversight.

Uses advanced operational concepts and objectives to resolve highly complex issues. Regularly works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Primarily deals with programs and proposals with broad impact across the function, research initiative, program and / or organization. Develops and oversees the implementation of new programs and processes.

Compensation Range:

$5,825.00 - $8,866.67

6-8 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in project and operations management and at least 1 year professional experience working in an institution of higher education.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Advanced project management skills.

Advanced knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.

Advanced knowledge of common organizational- or research-specific and other computer application programs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing.

Advanced analytical / problem-solving skills. Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

Thorough knowledge of organizational or initiative processes, protocols and procedures.

Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
