Position Description:
Established in 1998, the California Center for Population Research (CCPR) has since been a leading research center for research and training in demography. Supported by NICHD Population Center Infrastructure Grant and UCLA, CCPR is comprised of over 120 faculty researchers and over 130 graduate student affiliates across campus from 6 professional schools. CCPR is dedicated to train the next generations of demographers; to conduct rigorous independent research on demography, reproductive and population health.

With fast pace growth, CCPR has incorporated several research Centers under its wing: California Census Research Data Center (CCRDC), Center for Social Statistics (CSS), German Data Center, and California Policy Lab (CPL).

The Program Manager position requires strong organizational communication and analytical skills to help and manage a dynamic research training program and research groups in demography under Faculty Principal Investigators and Executive Director's direction. The Program Manager will work with participating training faculty and students from College of Letters and Sciences, Luskin School of Public Affairs, Fielding School of Public Health, Anderson School of Management, Education, Graduate Division and School of Medicine. The Program Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and Faculty Director. The program manager analyzes research needs and strategically allocates research space to three research centers in consultation with Executive Director. The incumbent interprets UCLA and funding agencies' policies and regulations to reconcile and ensure budget compliance with UCLA, state, and federal regulations. The program manager evaluates and reports the progress of the programs and make recommendations to the management team. She/he independently collects and maintains training data and records.

In addition, the Program Manager is also the backup DSA for the center and responsible for all aspects of the research training program related personnel hiring, financial and payroll transactions for faculty and student.

This position offers opportunity to work directly with leading social science researchers at UCLA and staff members from various academic units and central units, as well as executive management team at CCPR.
