Under the direction of the Associate & Assistant Vice Chancellors of Planning, Design & Real Estate the Senior Planner is to provide for the development of analyses related to the campus growth and capital plan. Items of work will include detailed program documents, preparation of planning reports, coordination of working groups, feasibility studies, zoning research, planning reports, space planning and management of outside consultants, along with other efforts in support of implementation of the campus plan and general planning work in support of the mission will be required for this urban campus intertwined with the City of Pittsburgh in the Oakland area. The planner works closely with others in the planning area such as the University Architect, the Interior Designer and Space Administrator. In addition, working with the Project Managers in the Office of Facilities Management, there will be working relationships with end users of space, and consultants as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning or Interior Design or a related field from an accredited School. minimum of 10 years of experience. Masters Degree preferred. AIA or certifications specific to the degree.
