Candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering must have an outstanding record of accomplishment, and have a research interest in any one of the following areas:
•Advanced Materials (e.g., nanotechnology, soft materials, modeling, biosensor material, data analytics, biomedical applications)
•Energy & Environment (e.g., renewables, biofuels, electrical energy storage, CO2 sequestration/conversion, water treatment and membranes)
•Process Engineering (e.g., AI, optimization, process systems, plasma and electrochemistry)
The primary responsibility of the chosen candidate is to teach, conduct research and participate in service to the department and university. Other responsibilities will include developing timely course materials for both undergraduate and graduate courses, engage in proposal writing, supervising students in the lab, and advise students.Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include a PhD degree in chemical engineering or related area. The applicant is to be proficient at teaching and research. The desired candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with chemical engineering research themes and courses.Physical Demands:
