Position Summary:

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for the Outpatient Clinic in Chapel Hill, NC. The LCSW is responsible for an assigned group of clients for the assessment, planning, and coordination of evidence based treatment, recovery, and support services provided by this position and other members of the Outpatient Clinic. This position is also responsible for directly providing and assisting in the provision of treatment, recovery and support services (individual and group), as well as for systematic monitoring of service delivery and timely adjustment of the treatment plan to meet changing client needs.

Educational Requirements:

Applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work.

Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants must possess licensure (LCSW) from the State of NC to practice as a Clinical Social Worker, and have at least one year of direct work experience with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Additionally, experience with patients who have experienced trauma related disorders is desired.
