Schedule: TBD by the needs of department and student schedule between office hours of Monday - Friday 9 am to 4 pm. Ability to work 10 to 20 hours per week. Maximum 20 hours per week. Current work plan: Work will be Virtual until at least January. On-Site work would only begin once approved by College Leadership.

Job Description:

  1. Assists with graphic design projects.
  2. Reviews and analyzes written documents for completeness. Recommends changes to documents.
  3. Assists department staff with general offices duties including but not limited to: writing and sending email messages, making and returning phone calls, construct informational packets, make copies, etc.
  4. Assists in the maintenance of various department documents using Microsoft Office suite.
  5. Accurately organize and file documents digitally.
  6. Work with department on client business plans and processes.
  7. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance.
  8. Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
Knowledge of: Graphic design basics. Prior experience in using Excel is required.

Skill in: Being positive and professional. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer and Internet skills, including Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn new skills.

Ability to: Complete all duties while maintaining strict confidentiality. Attention to detail. Follow directions. Work a consistent, reliable schedule. Learn new skills quickly.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires applicants to have Federal Work Study as part of their current Financial Aid package with Columbus State. You must also be enrolled in SIX or more credit hours in a degree or certificate program. Applicants must have received a high school diploma or a certificate of attendance from an accredited secondary school or a certificate of high school equivalence and be exempt from Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4109. 

Must have reliable transportation or other means to get to work regularly. 

Students enrolled as Transient, College Credit Plus, Undecided, or otherwise non degree-seeking are not considered eligible for Student Employment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Previous work experience in an office environment preferred, but experience in a related field such as retail, food service, and volunteer work will be considered.
Experience or coursework in Graphic Design.
