Physical Requirements:

May include standing for greater than five hours at a time and possibly walking several miles per day, as well as the ability to reach items above shoulder-level and lift up to 25 pounds.

Shift:

Primarily days, Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week). Shifts and days of week worked may change based on the growth of the service line, and participation in holiday rotation may be included for location(s) open on holidays.

Job Summary:

This position serves as a central team member for Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Services in UKHC Ambulatory Retail Pharmacies. Position also provides support for MTM billing services and other billing for the enterprise, and will work to review CMR’s and medication lists for accuracy and thoroughness, and identify potential errors, omissions, or interactions, and review patient’s medications for pharmacist/pharmacist intern interventions.

This role will also coordinate reports for MTM database weekly changes, MTM billing cycles and communicate to inpatient and outpatient care teams to improve patient outcomes and patient adherence. The position serves as a resource for the community pharmacy operations and will need to complete trainings as required to become knowledgeable and proficient in performing MTM activities required throughout the departments. May also assist with some general staffing within the community pharmacy operations to help facilitate patient care.

Pharmacy Technicians for Ambulatory Pharmacy Services will play an integral role in ensuring overall customer satisfaction and that a positive patient experience are achieved for all Chandler and Good Samaritan retail pharmacy patrons. This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Education/Experience:

Two years of previous work experience (in a related field). Prefer previous pharmacy tech experience or work/classes in medical field. Hired candidate must maintain state licensure in good standing. Must have 2 years of full-time (or pro-rated) pharmacy technician experience and must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
