The Patient Relations Assistant is a first-line customer service representative for UK Healthcare.
Primary duties include: maintaining ideal patient flow, fluidity of patient care, registration, copays, multiple appointment scheduling, and increasing opportunities for excellent customer service with our patients and their support.
Other duties include: proficient patient registration, using electronic tools to ensure patient insurance eligibility, and ensuring the accuracy of patient registrations.
Appointment scheduling is also a major job responsibility, and the Patient Relations Assistant will schedule and reappoint patients accurately according to scheduling protocol, schedule ancillary/diagnostic tests, as well as ensure timely and appropriate follow-up with patients or referring physicians on all appointment requests.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
APM and SCM and experience with customer service, patient registration, patient scheduling, medical records, and insurance authorizations.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
