DescriptionRegular Full-time, Pay Grade 36
To ensure collections of all revenues including studentfees, student loans, non-student receivables, cash receipts and other financialtransactions are executed consistent with sound accounting practices accordingto University, State and Federal guidelines while maintaining adequate internalcontrols with a minimum disruption to the campus environment. 


Perform professional accounting duties preparing theUniversities daily deposit from a composite of accounts. 


Post deposits directly to departmental IRIS Cost Centers andWBS Elements and Funds.


Review and analyze University system-wide financialtransactions to ensure compliance with federal and state fiscal policiesrelating to depositing of funds.


Co-teach 3 hour Central Cashiering class once a month in theIris training lab to fellow and/or new employees. 


Teach 2 hour Online Receipting class as needed to retrainemployees using the old online receipting program or train employees that havenever used the Online Receipting program.




QualificationsQualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; 2 years college or equivalent work experience in an office or financial institution.

Knowledge of Online Receipting (both old and new programs), IRIS, Word, Excel (for daily balance and statistical reports), Outlook, Office 365, Internet Explorer/Google (to research payments)

Must be skillful in operating the following machines:

10-Key Calculator, Scanner, Money Counter, Date Stamp Machine, Fax Machine/Copy Machine

Must be able to communicate the processes involved in the Central Cashier Office verbally or by email, in order to assist departmental employees in the implementation of producing a correct Receipt/Deposit/Iris Document.

Extensive knowledge of IRIS, University Fiscal policies as they relate to cash receipts and knowledge of accounting/auditing principles, practices and procedures.
