The National Library of Medicine initiated a program with the National Institutes of Health All of Us Research Program to stimulate and facilitate community engagement and participant support through the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM). Each Regional Medical Library will have a staff member dedicated to this supplement. The NNLM South Central Region (SCR) All of Us Community Engagement Coordinator will work within the states of TX, AR, LA, NM and OK in collaboration with All of Us program partners, the Network of the National Library of Medicine and regional partners to develop, model and evaluate All of Us community engagement activities.Position Summary:
This contract Coordinator position will work with regional public libraries, community-based organizations and others to develop virtual activities based on community health needs. Target areas are chosen to reach underrepresented populations typically not included in research.
•In consultation with All of Us Research Program and the Executive Director, develop partnerships with Community and Provider Gateway Initiative (CPGI) organizations in target markets across the South Central Region such El Paso, New Orleans, Houston, and Dallas.
•Manage and coordinate communication with sub-awards to support public libraries and community organizations in accomplishing the goals set forth in this project.
•Prepare detailed evaluation and progress reports on activities, programs and services in close collaboration with the All of Us Training Center, National Network Coordinating Office, National Evaluation Office, and other NNLM regions.Minimum Qualifications:
Contractor must have a Master’s degree and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Grant subcontract management experience. Health information programming or community health education experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Strong presentation and technology skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to plan and implement programs and prioritize projects. Strong service orientation and ability to work effectively with colleagues, health professionals and consumers in a diverse, multi-cultural community. Willingness to travelRequired License / Registration / Certification:
Valid Driver’s LicenseWork Schedule:
M-F, at least 40 hours per week
