Job Description Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with Sarah Kavanagh in supporting the functioning of a research project focused on studying teachers’ practice at project-based learning.

Job Description

Duties:

This includes, but is not limited to, collaborating with Dr. Kavanagh and the larger research team to develop and refine long-range strategic plans and project timelines; drafting reports to funders; managing project data; conducting data analysis; and managing communication about projects with various stakeholders. Work will involve participating in many research phases including data collection, data analysis, manuscript writing, and research presentations.

The individual in this role will have demonstrated experience conducting factor analyses and multiple regression; demonstrated experience with data cleaning and data organization; demonstrated interest and experience in research on teacher learning and classroom research; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; personal initiative, and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities; ability to take responsibility and meet deadlines and initiate tasks without close supervision; and an ability to collaborate effectively and work well in teams.

Position is contingent upon funding, current end date of funds is 6/31/2022.

Qualifications
An earned doctoral degree in teacher education, curriculum & instruction or a related field before the start date and 3-5 years of experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience. A record of publication in peer reviewed journals in education; demonstrated experience conducting factor analyses and multiple regression; demonstrated experience with data cleaning and data organization; demonstrated interest and experience in research on teacher learning and classroom research; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; personal initiative, and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities; ability to take responsibility and meet deadlines and initiate tasks without close supervision; ability to collaborate effectively and work well in teams; over ten years of experience teaching in K-12 schools highly preferred.
