Temporary Field/Lab Technician
TemporaryEssential Job Duties:
To assist in research activities of faculty, staff, and graduate students in the Crop and Soil Science Department. Research
Assistant primary responsibilities include working with soil sampling equipment in a field setting, transporting, processing and analyzing the samples. Additional responsibilities can include some
construction of sampling equipment, collecting plant and soil samples drying, weighing, and grinding grain, plant, and soil samples, analyzing grain, laboratory analysis of plant and soil samples, managing
agronomic research projects, data entry, and other related duties as necessary. The position includes approximately 40% time on campus and 60% time at field sites and is subject to change. Daily working hours may vary during peak season or according to weather.
