10049267Job Description Summary:
Under general supervision, administrative assistants provide aid to students in the Academic Center for Excellence (A.C.E.) at EGSC. Administrative assistants provide support to students seeking academic assistance in the A.C.E. The administrative assistance includes, but is not limited to, helping students check into the GradesFirst kiosk and directing students to available tutors to provide academic support services for the students.Major Duties:
•Provide aid to students seeking academic assistance in academic courses.
•Ensure students who utilize tutoring services are signing in and out via the A.C.E. computer on the Access software.
•Sign-out and Sign-in books and calculators to and from students.
•The ability to provide assistance and guidance on software programs, such as GradesFirst
•The ability to divide attention between two or more students
•The ability to interact with students who are seeking A.C.E. academic support services.
The A.C.E. Coordinator assigns work in terms of general instructions. The coordinator spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results. The A.C.E. Coordinator provides day-to-day supervision of the tutors.Guidelines:

High school diploma or GED required. Must be an EGSC student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and be in good academic standing.Preferred Qualifications:
