The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health is seeking 2 Patient and Family Navigators to serve as a PositiveLinks (PL) Spanish Liaison and PositiveLinks Liaison within the Infectious Disease Clinic.

PL Spanish Liaison: This position serves as the main point of contact for HIV/AIDS clinic patients for the (PL) platform, a smartphone-based tool for client engagement in HIV care. This position works directly with and focuses on Spanish-speaking clients at the UVA Ryan White Clinic and is responsible for promoting PL as an engagement-in-care tool. This position is responsible for enrolling and training clients; monitoring PL platform activity; utilizing engagement best practices; and troubleshooting phone and other client issues. This position provides PL training and platform support to providers at the UVA Ryan White Clinic. This position is a member of a larger PL implementation team and may support training at PL partner sites. Additionally, responsibilities may expand to include the coordination of statewide PL Spanish language community board.

Minimum Qualifications:

PL Spanish Liaison: A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of administrative experience are required. A Bachelor's degree, experience working with educational programs and indigent populations, and knowledge of HIV/AIDS are preferred. Understanding of and sensitivity to cultural norms and fluency in Spanish.

These position are restricted and contingent upon the continuation of funding.
