The Administrative and Fiscal Coordinator provides administrative support to Chair/Director and Faculty and will serve as the first point of contact with the public. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, accuracy in daily work with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
chair & faculty support, to include administrative personnel services; department office management; department fiscal administration; departmental procurement and purchases;
records management; course scheduling and registration; communications and technological support.
•High school graduate or equivalent.
•Working knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple calendars, preferably using an automated calendaring system.
•Proficient computer skills preferably with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook calendar.
•Knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures, working knowledge of fiscal administration, and experience tracking and projecting expenditures. Knowledge of procurement & purchasing policies and procedures.
•Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply, and communicate a variety of organizational policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with college, state, and federal guidelines.
•Ability to learn website technology platforms, i.e., Cascade, Blackboard, group calendars, listservs, etc.).
•Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy.
•Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, make sound decisions and organize and prioritize work.
•Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Experience working in a higher education office environment.
•Background working with Banner finance. Experience with course scheduling in Banner.
•Familiarity with general hiring practices and procedures. Working knowledge of personnel processes for instructional faculty (i.e., promotion, tenure review, merit, etc.)
•Experience working with Ellucian Banner, e-VA, Qlik, and Chrome River.
•Theatrical business background or experience with the theatrical business.
