Advertised Job Summary:

To provide office management and coordination for the Physician Assistant Program at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine to include but not limited to: didactic rotations schedules, purchasing-procurement, travel, and event management. Will provide administrative assistance to the Program Director, Student Services Manager and Didactic Director. Must be able to interact with co-workers, supervisor, departmental faculty, students and public in a positive manner and be able to work independently with little supervision. Will demonstrate a commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment, or high school diploma and 5 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications:

MS-Access, Banner, Blackboard, and People Soft proficient; Computer database software experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Administrative experience with appropriate skills acceptable; MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Excel; and other database management systems. Experience with requisitions. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Understanding of university policies and procedures. Knowledge of office procedures, practices and equipment. Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.
