Adjunct Faculty, Media Psychology  

 

Applications for Adjunct Faculty in Media Psychology will be accepted for consideration until the positions have been filled. Position begins as early as January 11, 2021.

QUALIFICATIONS 

We seek scholar-practitioners who have experience teaching online, ideally at the graduate level; record of research/scholarly publications and/or practitioner experience in media psychology; and a PhD in Psychology. 

 

We are particularly interested in applicants with successful experience in teaching, research or scholarship, and applied work in areas related to the interface of cognitive and media psychology, such as interactive media, virtual and augmented reality, gaming, social technologies, or other forms of mediated experiences.

 

Preference will be given to candidates who can teach in any of the following areas:

•  Research methods

•  Critical writing

•  Immersive/emerging media - The Social Impact of Immersive Technology

•  Global Psychology:  Media and Social Advocacy 

•  The Psychology of Social Media Strategy

•  Special topics in media psychology 

 

Courses are 12 weeks in length.  Faculty are required to provide 2 hours of live lecture (via video conference) per week although there is flexibility on day(s) and specific time.  Fielding operates on a three-term year (January, May, September).  Adjunct faculty would teach 1-3 classes per year total.

 

Positions will start to be filled for the January term.  Additional positions will be added in May.
