 Curriculum Coordinator, Center for Agriculture & Food Security & Preparedness
 The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator to work with Subject Matter Experts to plan, develop, write, edit, and maintain instructor-led (classroom) and on-line training courses, seminars, videos, and presentations for the Center for Ag & Food Security & Preparedness (CAFSP). CAFSP is grant funded by various federal agencies and organizations to develop and deliver training for adult learners around the globe. 
Typical Responsibilities will include:
Collaborates with funding agencies and subject matter experts (SMEs) to write and edit training content, activities, and test questions that adhere to adult learning principles. The editing and revision process sometimes involves topical research.
Develops PowerPoint slides, web screens (using authoring software), videos, and flyers for e-learning courses and instructor led courses (in-person and virtual). Identifies images and creates graphics to align with the training topics.
Completes training needs assessments and develops course design documents to map out course learning objectives, training topics, training activities, and assessment tools.
Assists with course delivery and shipping logistics.
Assists the CAFSP Director with grant writing.
 

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field with three years' instructional design and course development experience, advanced technical writing experience, and developing curriculum for adult learners

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree with 5-7 years' instructional design experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed:
• Ability to develop, implement, edit, and maintain both instructor-led and web based training content and activities
• Technical writing skills
• Ability to design online courses using Articulate, Captivate, or a similar authoring program
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of training delivery logistics
• Ability to work with faculty, staff, external contractors, and content contributors to develop training content and activities
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to meet quality expectations and deadlines
• Ability to employ best practices for instructional design including, but not limited to, the ADDIE model and Bloom's Taxonomy
• Ability to develop course assessment instruments
• Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft programs
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to travel domestically for overnight meetings and training deliveries, valid driver's license required
• Prefer knowledge of content sharing technology (Share Point)
• Prefer knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements
