Job Description Summary

The Project Manager will provide oversight and progress management for LDI’s grant-funded portfolio of work through the implementation and execution of research, policy, and educational projects.

Job Description

Penn LDI’s mission is to catalyze and facilitate multidisciplinary research and educational programs, shaping and expanding the knowledge required to improve population health, the health care system, and health policy.

Responsibilities will include all non-financial aspects of grant management, including working with external sponsors, drafting grant narratives and budget justifications, maintaining complete and accurate records of all grant activities, generating reports, managing research assistants and consultants, coordinating project meetings, and ensuring adherence to grant timelines. Responsibilities will also include negotiating data requests and agreements, IRB submissions, and developing, piloting, and implementing customized training modules in translation and dissemination (both asynchronous and in-person as applicable).

A master’s degree and 3-5 years of related experience is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in grants and project management is required. Familiarity with health care, health policy, population health and/or health services research is strongly preferred. The Project Manager must be detail oriented, excel at problem solving, have strong writing skills, excel at multi-tasking, and be a self-starter with a results orientation. The Project Manager will interact with a variety of faculty members, staff, and students throughout the University and external funders and individuals outside the University, so strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. The Project Manager should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
