Job Description Summary

The Senior Faculty Coordinator position will serve as a primary resource on UPENN and PSOM policies and processes related to faculty employment and career progression to the department Chair, Vice Chair, and COO, as well as faculty. The role requires a thorough knowledge of faculty tracks and PSOM and University policies relating to faculty employment and the ability to recognize and develop improvements in relation to Faculty Search applications, data collection and reporting.

Job Description

The Senior Faculty Coordinator will be responsible for the administrative duties related to the Faculty Affairs and Medical Staff Credentialing process. This position will have particular expertise and serve as a primary resource in the area of search and recruitment for department and division leaders, faculty and other administrators regarding University and Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) policies, procedures and processes related to faculty employment. Will work to ensure compliance and accuracy in all aspects.

The Senior Faculty Coordinator will also facilitate monthly meetings with the Credentialing Coordinator and other department staff to provide and reinforce ongoing training and proactive planning and problem solving related to faculty employment issues. Responsible for identifying and developing improvements and efficiencies in relation to the Faculty Search applications data collection and reporting. Provide local data, system, and reporting expertise to users and leadership across the department. Position requires demonstrated experience working with systems and applications.


Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
