Job Summary

The Department of Athletics at Kutztown University invites applications for the position of Head Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach. Kutztown University is an NCAA Division II member institution. The Head Coach is responsible for all phases of the women’s acrobatics & tumbling program including recruitment of prospective student-athletes, academic success of student-athletes, game preparation and strategy, supervision of assistant coaches, scheduling, organizing camps and clinics in support of Kutztown athletics, fund raising, adherence to NCAA rules and regulations, and general administrative duties. In addition, the Head Coach will be responsible for supporting the philosophy, goals, and mission of the University and its Intercollegiate Athletics program as well as adherence to Departmental, University and NCAA policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of coaching experience in the area of acrobatics & tumbling. Demonstrated ability in skill development, staff supervision, general administrative duties, and an understanding of NCAA rules compliance desired as well as prior successful experience in recruiting qualified student-athletes, fiscal management skills, and excellent organizational and communications skills. Candidates must pass the NCAA recruiting test certification education module and obtain current CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire. Candidate must complete a successful interview.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior successful coaching experience in a collegiate level program preferred.
  • Preference will be given to those with experience specific to coaching Acrobatics and Tumbling OR one of the disciplines of gymnastics (artistic, acrobatic, trampoline, power tumbling) OR cheerleading (competitive or sideline), preferably at the collegiate level or high school level.
