This position is responsible for building maintenance; which consists of painting, drywall, carpentry, ale systems, electrical systems, including water and sewer lines, doors and windows, welding and soldering.

This position performs preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment including grounds, roadways and parking areas.

This position assists with set ups for special functions on and off campus, and other duties as directed by supervisor.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience related to the duties of this position.

(Note:Vocational/technical degree in a related area may substitute for the required experience.)

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position to include standing, bending, reaching, stooping for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs in excess and work under all weather conditions.

Knowledge of processes, procedures, and methods used in facilities operations.

Knowledge of general maintenance principles, practices and techniques.

Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision.

Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.

A valid State of Florida driver's license or the ability to obtain upon hire.Preferred Knowledge of the practices and the ability to perform skilled carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or other related trades work.

Skilled in safely operating various types of motorized vehicles including but not limited to tractors, yard equipment, forklifts and golf-carts.

Tuesday through Friday the hours are 6am-2:30pm, the remaining 8 hours on Saturday will vary based on need.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
