Primary Function of Organizational Unit :

The East Carolina University Community School involves cross campus collaboration to provide the students a spectrum of support and services to comprehensively address their academic, social-emotional, physical, and family/community needs. The community school involves an integrated partnership with Pitt County Schools and is housed within South Greenville Elementary School.

Job Duties :

The ECU Community School is looking for a part time testing coordinator. This is a temporary, EHRA non-faculty position in the College of Education. To assist in the administration, reporting, and interpretation of test results and other accountability measures in the NC Testing Program (SBE policy TEST-002). The testing coordinator duties will consist of the following:

•Train local personnel who are responsibility for test administration — this includes procedures for test administration that require accommodations for children who require such…
•Annually sign a confidentiality and test security agreement
•Ensure an annual written testing plan for the ECU CS is development and disseminated
•At the beginning of each school year, provide information to the ECU CS principal, teachers, students, and parents information them of local and state-mandated tests that students are required to take during the school year
•Attend monthly state-wide testing coordinators meetings
•Meet regularly with the ECU CS principal to share /update testing information
•Oversee the planning and implementation of training for the ECU CS principal, teachers, and others involved in testing
•Ensure all appropriate staff receive training in procedures for providing approved accommodations for students
•Ensure the ECU CS has a secure area for receiving and storing testing materials
•Ensure enough copies/technology are in place for students to be tested
•Develop and maintain a secure check out and check in system for testing materials
•Coordinate and work with the COE IT staff to ensure technology (hardware and software) is available and meets testing requirement standards
•Secures and assigns testing sites for students
•Serves as the initial investigator to testing irregularity and reports findings to the ECU CS principal

Contingent upon availability of funding.

Minimum Education/Experience :

Bachelor’s degree and experience as a district level testing director or coordinator and/or school level testing coordinator. Qualifying degrees must be conferred and received from appropriately accredited institutions.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation :

None.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education :

Preference will be given to candidates with two or more years experience as a district level testing director or coordinator and/or school level testing coordinator; Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, excellent written and oral communication skills.
