The School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural, and Mechanical (ECAM) Engineering and the Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems (IRIS) at the University of Georgia (UGA) has an opening to support a 2-year postdoctoral fellow. IRIS (http://www.iris.uga.edu/) advances the integration of natural and conventional infrastructure systems to strengthen society’s long-term resilience to flooding, sea level rise, drought, and other disruptions. Position Summary:

The postdoc will co-develop and implement ethnographic and survey-based research, coordinate data collection, curation, and analysis. This is primarily a research position with potential duties related to the management of graduate and undergraduate students.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position:

A PhD in a related social science field is required. Experience working on interdisciplinary teams is highly desired.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :

Special considerations will be given to candidates with expertise in systems-based research and with methodological expertise that may include qualitative and quantitative data collection/analysis, collaborative modeling, geospatial methods, and field experience.
