Compensation:  $51.37

Schedule: Hours vary depending upon course assignment. Day, evening or weekend hours.

Job Description: Teach didactic and laboratory courses. Works with the Coordinator of the Medical Assisting Program in preparing lectures and organizing laboratory activities for entry level medical assisting students.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: on-line instruction techniques and methods; Microsoft Office; Blackboard; internet research. Skill In: providing quality instruction (developmental, multicultural, applied learning) and support to a diverse student body; learning technologies and use of multi-media technology to enhance student learning; instructional planning and presentation; incorporating critical thinking, effective communication, and other general education outcomes in course content. Ability to: perform student learning outcomes assessments; demonstrate teaching strategies that focus on student- centered learning; demonstrate a commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies that aid student success and retention and reflect industry trends; adapt to multi-campus organizational work environments as well as changes in the discipline.

Minimum Qualifications: A.A.S. or ATS in MedicalAssisting.  Certified MedicalAssistant and experience in both clinical and administrative medicalassistant duties.  State MotorVehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in related health field or Education. Certified Medical Assistant and experience in both clinical and administrative medical assistant duties. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).

Additional Information:  May be needed to teach at Delaware Campus as well.
