Position Highlights:

The Research Data Support Specialist II will fill a vacancy in the Brain Imaging and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Laboratory directed by Dr. Ying-hui Chou in the Department of Psychology, College of Science at University of Arizona. Dr. Chou’s research group is conducting research projects involving non-invasive brain stimulation (e.g., transcranial magnetic stimulation), brain imaging (e.g., diffusion tensor imaging and resting-state fMRI), and behavioral assessments in healthy adults and individuals with neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, or Parkinson’s disease). The department of Psychology is an outstanding research environment, and there are many opportunities for collaboration with labs in the University of Arizona. The successful candidate should have prior experience with research of transcranial magnetic stimulation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Data collection including behavioral, electromyographic and brain imaging data
  • Recruitment of participants, transportation arrangement, and retention of participants for ongoing research studies
  • Data analysis
  • Assistance in preparation of grants, papers, presentations
  • Clinical regulatory procedures including IRB and clinical trial applications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Prior experience with research of transcranial magnetic stimulation.
