Advancement Assistant II, Annual Giving
TheUniversity of Tennessee Foundation, Inc. (UTFI) is seeking an AdvancementAssistant II at the University of Tennessee Knoxville campus for annual giving.Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Annual Giving, theAdvancement Assistant will provide administrative support in the student phonathonprogram. Duties include but may not belimited to transactional activities related to student hires, terminations,transfers, time entry, pledge processing and record updates. The Advancement Assistant will maintain donorrecords on two systems and perform general office procedures required tomaintain student personnel activity and donor records.
Atthe University of Tennessee, Knoxville, the Foundation provides engagementopportunities for alumni through networking and community events, and workshand-in-hand with the campus on their priorities to improve undergraduate andgraduate education for more than 30,500 students and support for faculty andstaff with over 900 programs of study.
Qualifications: This position requires a high school degree; anassociate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 3+ years officeexperience required. Business/technical school graduate with 1+ years of officeexperience is acceptable. Development, advancement, non-profit, alumni affairs,administrative roles or a related field such as communications or marketing is preferred. The ideal candidate will be highly supportiveof and committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Skills: The preferred candidate must have excellent oral and writtencommunication skills, be team-oriented and collaborative and demonstrate strongorganizational skills. Knowledge of technology, willingness to learn newprograms, adaptivity and ability to organize and prioritize multiple projectsare also important. Experience usingANDI, IRIS and proficiency in Microsoft Office a plus.
