Position Overview:

This position requires highly specialized web knowledge and skills necessary for the planning, creation and assessment of websites in the Division of Enrollment that support students, faculty and staff across the university including, but not limited to, Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, Registrar and the Welcome Center. This position requires understanding of all stages of web development with an emphasis on information architecture and user experience, proficiency in web and application design best practices, and the ability to assess objectives using key metrics and indicators. All websites and applications must be created following state and federal rules and guidelines for compliance, usability and accessibility.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to writing HTML documents, develop content, create graphics, digitize pictures, and insert audio and video. • Knowledge of HTML, HTML editing tools, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Websphere, graphic design software or other web authoring languages. • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Content management system best practices. • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to accomplish goals. • Ability to translate UX (user experience) documents, business requirements and/or wireframes into professionally designed, fully functional web properties.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and three years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, occasional overtime.

o:

Works in collaboration with UBSC to design, develop, improve and maintain Division of Enrollment websites that support university and division goals and initiatives.

o:

Helps create meaningful analytic reports to inform managers and project teams about web site/page performance; helps interpret analytics to enhance the user experience and improve web effectiveness over time. Researches, suggests and implements new standards for site development, management, or coding.

o:

Effectively communicates and collaborates with division leadership and UBSC in the planning, design and execution of websites and digital applications.

o:

Provides the visual aesthetics, code development and technical support for web properties by using standard HTML/CSS/Content management system best practices.

o:

Coordinates with leadership and subject matter experts regarding web development needs, supporting the creation of sites and pages, as well as, educating on best practices, strategies and goals and helping them define the strategies that they can execute to achieve their goals.

o:

Provides end-user support and technical training.
