Summary of Duties:

The Business Analyst (BA) will perform detailed requirements analysis, document business processes, and identify areas for process improvements. This position will work with and influence decisions across WSU Foundation, WSU Alumni Association and advancement operations across the WSU system.
The BA position will assist and support Advancement programs in establishing and meeting objectives and project deliverables. The BA will conduct ad hoc analyses, guiding partners in understanding data, conducting testing, and supporting project deliveries.
The BA position must be able to understand business, system and technical issues, and facilitate problem solving and issue resolution. The successful incumbent will need to exhibit keen attention to detail while remaining aware of broader Advancement objectives across the Advancement operation. Additionally, the role requires analytical acumen, while demonstrating the ability to prioritize multiple timelines and competing goals.

Monthly Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or related field AND three (3) years of professional experience in procedural, management, or business analysis work; OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven (7) years from which comparable knowledge and ability are acquired.

Additional Requirements:

Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and prioritize multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide effective service to partners at all levels of the organization.
Strong project management, organizational, and planning skills are required, with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel (PowerPivot), Access and Visio, MS Project, Wrike or other project management software and tools.
Experience implementing or working with Ellucian Advance or other higher education or donor database management systems.
Demonstrated experience performing progressively more complex work in business analysis and requirements gathering.
Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication skills, technical documentation skills, user liaison skills, and personal interaction abilities.
Demonstrated knowledge of process, ethics and policies of professional fundraising.
