The Advancement Writer is responsible for producing and editing well-written, target-driven content that leads to effective engagement and philanthropic results. Supporting WSU Advancement, the Advancement Writer works closely with key Advancement staff, as well as colleagues across the University, providing writing support to Advancement as a whole. Not only is the Advancement Writer a skilled writer, but also an experienced and skilled editor and proofreader, and is capable of working with members of the Advancement team to help them improve their own writing.Additional Information:

Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or related field and two (2) years of professional level writing/editing experience which has included word processing computer applications and a demonstrated knowledge of graphic arts principles. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to (1) one year of the required experience.Additional Requirements:
Academic background in journalism, strategic communication, marketing, or related field.
Demonstrated effective communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
