Position Summary:

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an Open Rank full-time, fixed-term faculty member to provide clinical leadership for the Facility Based Crisis Unit at the WakeBrook Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. The major expectations for this position will be the provision of leadership for the clinical services, leadership and supervision for the program’s staff, and provide evidence based direct behavioral health assessment/care to residents of Wake County with a variety of psychiatric and substance abuse conditions. Treatment services include clinical assessment, providing short-term therapeutic and intervention services, pharmacologic management and making clinical dispositions in conjunction with the clinician staff on the Facility Based Crisis Unit. Opportunity available to move into administrative leadership role on the unit.

Educational Requirements:

Applicants must have an MD/DO and be BC/BE and be eligible for North Carolina licensure. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, including trainees from a variety of disciplines. Candidates should have clinical experience working with individuals with mood disorders, severe and persistent mental illness, and substance using patients.
