Position Summary:

This position is to provide statistical support to Cancer Center researchers, and to senior statisticians. Knowledge of SAS and R required. Knowledge of other statistical programs and programming languages would be beneficial. Experience with tools such as github, Rmarkdown, Rstudio, ggplot2, python, docker, and machine learning methods are preferred but not required. Must be an analytical thinker who possesses knowledge of fundamental statistical concepts, practices, and procedures. Job tasks include: statistical programming, the ability to prepare analysis plans, create analysis data sets, run analyses, create appropriate tables and figures, interpret and communicate results to collaborators, and write detailed statistical sections for reports and manuscripts. Must demonstrate communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to plan and organize, and to meet scheduled timelines. This person will work with Cancer Center researchers and other BIOS Shared Resource statisticians. Efforts will be coordinated by the BIOS Shared Resource Facility Director.

Educational Requirements:

Master’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, or related field of study, and three years of experience preferred. Other degree types may be considered based on experience, level of statistical acumen and statistical programming ability.

Qualifications and Experience:

The candidate must possess the knowledge of fundamental statistical concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be able to program using SAS and R.Experience with tools such as github, Rmarkdown, Rstudio, ggplot2, python, docker, and machine learning methods are preferred but not required
