Research administrator role will be responsible for the growing Neurosciences laboratory of Dr. Michael Wallace in the Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology. Additionally, applicants are expected to assist with a wide range of animal experiments. Familiarity/experience with animal handling, basic animal husbandry, and basic Matlab programming is expected. Minimum requirements include a bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, psychology, animal sciences or related field and some experience in research. The research assistant will be involved in all aspects of the lab and will be the key person responsible for ordering mice and equipment, coordinating with veterinary staff regarding surgeries, writing and editing the lab protocol, training new mice on behavior, maintenance of electronic records, serve as primary point of contact for USDA inspections, and train new members of the lab in safety procedures. This person will closely liaison with Dr. Wallace regarding various aspects of lab operation.

Required Skills
  • Bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, psychology, animal sciences or related field
  • One year of research experience required
