Job Description Summary

Plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Daily management of laboratory tool, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Closely collaborates with Senior Research Specialists and Principal Investigator (PI) on experimental/clinical work set ups in accordance to established protocols.

Job Description

Research Specialist A to work in the area of neurotrauma research using large and small animal models in a laboratory focused on electrophysiology, behavior, and histopathology. Studies include neurosurgical procedures (brain) in both large animal and rodent models,

electrophysiological acute and chronic recordings, training and behavioral assessment of animal behavior, and tissue processing/histology. Other tasks will include

maintenance of logs and lab reports, surgery preparation, data analysis, retrieval of recent literature, ordering and general lab maintenance. Prior neuroscience, medical, or coding experience a plus, excellent organizational skills required.

  • Large and small animal surgical models
  • Electrophysiology
  • Animal training and behavioral assessments

  • Data Analysis, retrieval of recent literature
  • General lab maintenance, supply inventory and ordering
  • Other duties as needed

Bachelor's degree and 0-1 year of experience or equivalent combination education and experience required.
