Position Description:

This position performs duties as an Oncology Clinical Research Coordinator on multiple Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) clinical, correlative and translational research studies. The position will independently plan and manage oncology tissue and blood-based research studies managed by this office as well as independently manage multiple tissue and blood-based research trials, including a large well-established LCCC tissue banking study that serves to facilitate other biospecimen-based studies at LCCC.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge of GCP and ICH Guidelines and ability to follow established regulations, procedures, and protocols; experience with IRB submissions, strong computer skills; ability to gather data and document procedures; ability to plan work and coordinate multiple projects; ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

CCRP or CCRC Certification preferred. Biospecimen-based research experience preferred.
