Position Summary::

The Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management, a growing Department with a thriving faculty, seeks to fill a newly-designated faculty position in Hospitality Management with a focus in sport management/sport hospitality. The Hospitality Management program offers 4 concentrations: (1) Hotel/Lodging, (2) Food & Beverage, (3) Meetings Management, (4) Sport, Entertainment, & Event Management. The Department is one of five in the College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama.

Responsibilities: Teaching, and service to articulate the mission of The University including:
•Teach courses at the undergraduate level.
•Recruit and mentor students.
•Academic advising for undergraduate students.
•Serve on Departmental, College, and University committees.

Qualifications: Applicants should have a strong background in sport/hospitality management with the ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses.
•PhD in Sport Management, Hospitality Management or related field is required.
•Must have completed at least 18 hours of graduate level sport, hospitality, or related courses.
•Evidence of the ability to teach at the collegiate level.

Additional Position Information::

Please note that this position is a non-tenure earning renewable three year contract. It is renewable each year based on performance, need, and funding availability.
