Position Summary::

The Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management, a growing Department with a thriving faculty, seeks to fill a newly-designated faculty position in Sport Hospitality. The Department is one of five in the College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama. The Sport Hospitality graduate program has seen tremendous growth and offers students a curriculum built on theory while maximizing industry relations for experience.

Responsibilities: Teaching, research, and service to articulate the mission of The University including:
•Teach courses as needed at the undergraduate and M.S. level.
•Establish an active, focused research program in the area of sport hospitality.
•Produce a record of scholarly activity in sport management/sport hospitality.
•Recruit, mentor, and advise students.
•Participate on thesis committees.
•Obtain external funding to support a nationally competitive research program.
•Serve on Departmental, College, and University committees.

Qualifications: Applicants should have a strong background in the sport industry with the ability to establish and sustain a research agenda in the area of sport management/sport hospitality.

•Earned PhD in Sport Business/Management, Hospitality Management or related area.
•Must have completed at least 18 hours of graduate level sport management, hospitality or related courses.
•Evidence of the ability to teach at the collegiate level.
•Evidence of the potential to establish a related research program.
