The Position:
Applications are currently being accepted for Athletic Trainer in the Health, Exercise Science, and Athletics Department, located at San Diego City College. SDCC participates in 13 sports, is a member of the CCCAA and the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC). Hours and days vary. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum of three years of experience as an athletic trainer.
Certified Athletic Trainer from National Athletic Trainers Association.
Excellent interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience with administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree with five or more years of experience as an athletic trainer.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge and proficiency with injury evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation protocols.


Pay Information:
Range 31 ($5,035.86 - $8,038.37) per month based on the current AFT Classified Unit - Maintenance and Operations Salary Schedule

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the AFT-Guild, Local 1931 Classified Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt and may accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
