Stanford's future success will be shaped by the diverse perspectives, unique experiences, and inclusive culture of its community. Are you ready to make your impact and join our team?

Over five decades, the anesthesia service at Stanford University School of Medicine has evolved from a band of a dozen doctors to a thriving department with over 200 faculty, staff, fellows, residents and interns. Stanford's Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine started as a subdivision of surgery, and is now a national leader in teaching, research and clinical service, ranking 3rd in the nation in National Institutes of Health (NIH) research grants.
