Other duties may be assigned.
Office management processes and procedures.
Higher education organizational culture, policies, and procedures preferred.SkillsMust possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Maintaining an established work schedule which may include occasional evenings and weekends. Effectively using interpersonal and communication skills including public speaking, civility, and empathy. Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Adeptness to interact effectively with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, and other parties. Compiling and organizing complex material, and summarizing discussions and actions taken in report form.
Demonstrating an understanding of federal and state laws and ACC Administrative Rules and Procedures, related to discimination and harassment, including Title IX, Title VII, and Title VI.
Maintaining privacy and confidentiality of work-related information and sensitive materials, using professional judgement.
Technology Skills Database management, including use of a variety of spreadsheets, word processing, and other software including Google and Microsoft suite.
Required Work Experience
Higher education environment.
Required Education
An Associate degree and four years of related work experience may substitute for this education requirement. Applicants who substitute work experience to meet this education requirement must use additional related work experience to meet the years of "Required Work Experience" for this position. Please note that the college reserves the right to amend these terms of substitution at any time.
Physical Requirements Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.Safety
ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty Only).
