Description of Work:

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications seeks a visiting professor to join our award-winning photojournalism program starting in August 2021. This is a one-year appointment for the 2021-2022 academic year. This position will teach 5-7 courses in multimedia journalism and photojournalism during the academic year, contribute to photojournalism curriculum development, maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge in his/her regular teaching field including software updates as well as cutting edge practices in industry and connect with the industry to discover their needs for classes.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree
-Six years professional experience in photojournalism
-Experience with both still photography and videography
-Awareness of current workflow and process in digital photography
-Proficiency with DSLR and mobile photography platforms
-Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud software
-Teaching experience at the college level

Preferred Qualifications:

-Masters degree
-10 years professional experience in photojournalism
-Advanced photo and video editing experience
-Audio production skills
-Experience with course and curriculum development
