Professional Research Assistant

This full time Professional Research Assistant position will work within the Consortium for Fibrosis Research and Translation (CFReT). This position will be involved in early stage drug discovery projects focused on developing new therapies for fibrotic diseases of the heart, lungs, kidneys and liver. Work will include the development, validation, and implementation of high throughput cell-based assays, biochemical assays, and curating biological samples and collections of small molecules. Prior experience with developing cell and biochemical assays based on fluorescence, luminescence, and absorbance readouts is desirable. A strong foundation in cell culture methods is required. The individual will be required to accurately record and interpret data, perform basic statistical analyses, and be knowledgeable in word processing and spreadsheets. Salary and Benefits: The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $36,000 to $43,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
