Adjunct Information Technology Application Development Instructor

Job Description:

This is a continuous pool for an Adjunct faculty appointment.

Essential Duties Summary:

Seeking Application Development part-time faculty versed in numerous software development languages such as C#, C++, and Java. The Information Technology instructor could teach a variety of lecture/laboratory courses in the Associate’s programs related to programming languages and related software development strategies and techniques. Teaching will typically be conducted virtually via remote technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in software development or a related information systems field
• Recent full-time experience in industry working with modern object-oriented application development related to data-driven web, API, or Mobile application development, or related.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree.
• Substantial experience is industry related to software development frameworks
• Demonstrate understanding of and active interest in current trends and approaches in information systems fields
• Experience and commitment with working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and academic readiness
• Industry certifications in application development or related areas
