  • Position Description:

    The position of Assistant Professor of General Surgery has the responsibility for covering the General Surgery service line at UTMC and will promoteeducation and research collaborations across the institution and community,attract and develop diverse and qualified faculty, oversee clinical and administrativeactivities of the cardiothoracic program, and enhance the education of medicalstudents, residents, and fellows. This position will also be responsible for academicactivities including teaching of medical students, residents and fellows;research; and related service duties.  There are great opportunities for innovative, educational, as well as, translationalor basic research at The University of Toledo.   


      Candidates should be a board certified by theAmerican Board of Surgery and eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. Demonstrated track record of leadership and academic productivityCandidates will be asurgeon-educator or surgeon-scientist with a well-established history ofacademic commitment and mentorship


    Working Conditions:This position works in a professional clinical and academic office setting.
