The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) biostatistics Post-doctoral fellow to work under the direct supervision of Dr. Kathryn Colborn in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The selected candidate will work with Dr. Colborn and other faculty in the Surgical Outcomes and Applied Research Program and the Department of Biostatistics and Informatics.

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will assist with development of models for identification of postoperative complications and preoperative risk using supervised learning and electronic medical record data.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $53,760 - $65,292.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Qualifications:

  • PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or related field
  • Experience using R and/or Python to carry out data wrangling and analysis
  • Expertise in high dimensional data analysis and machine learning
  • Demonstrated track record of research experience and publications
