Duties:Under the direct supervision of the Director of Testing Services, the Specialized Testing Specialist is responsible for the facilitation, coordination, and administration of specialized certification and academic testing services provided by Testing Services. The Specialized Testing Specialist is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs, services, and facilitating activities that promote student success, degree completion and lifelong learning.
Education/Experience:Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and sciences, business or a related field. In addition, the candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and some familiarity with computerized testing software, and other pertinent educational computer software. A minimum one (1) year of work experience in higher education, preferably in testing.
Qualifications:Assist with coordinating all aspects of Specialized and high-stakes testing in the center, including but not limited to CLEP, GED, TEAS, Certiport, Kaplan, CADC, and other academic and/or professional admission and certification exam programs as may be adopted by the Testing Center;
Obtain and maintain certifications as required by testing agencies, publishers, vendors and platforms;
Take lead responsibility for training Testing Center staff members to administer Specialized Testing programs as needed;
Track and report daily, weekly and monthly usage of Specialized Testing exams, and recommend periodic test purchases in a timely and efficient manner;
Conduct testing programs for state and professional certifications, i.e. Illinois State Board Certification for Basic Nursing;
Demonstrate competence with all testing formats; Internet, computer and paper-based.

Hours:20 hours per week –
Flexible schedule required to include both day and evening hours. May also include Saturdays.
