The Gastronomy Program at Boston University Metropolitan College seeks an instructor to teach the course “Food Marketing” in the Spring 2021 semester. Class is scheduled for Wednesdays from 6-8:45 PM. The course applies the fundamental concepts and tools of marketing and brand management to the food industry, with a particular focus on the burgeoning New England culinary scene. The instructor should have a background in food marketing and be able to introduce students to multiple perspectives on the subject, including digital marketing and marketing in social entrepreneurship. In the past the course has successfully featured multiple guest speakers from the industry and has engaged students with local food brands to produce marketing plans. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in food marketing and teaching experience.
